on February 01, 2023

Are you considering adding a Boston Terrier to your family? If so, you may have come across the Brindle Boston Terrier. Brindle Boston Terriers are not as common as their black and white counterparts, but that doesn’t mean they’re rare. In fact, they’re becoming increasingly popular in the Boston Terrier community.

Are Brindle Boston Terriers Rare?

The Brindle Boston Terrier is a type of Boston Terrier that has a unique coat color. Instead of the traditional black and white coat, Brindle Boston Terriers have a reddish-brown coat that’s covered in patches of black. This unique coloration is what makes them stand out from the crowd.

The Brindle Boston Terrier’s unique coat color is caused by a recessive gene. This means that two parents with the Brindle gene must mate in order to produce a litter of puppies with the Brindle coat. While it’s not impossible to find two parents with the Brindle gene, it can be difficult. This is why Brindle Boston Terriers are not as common as the traditional black and white Boston Terriers.

Even though Brindle Boston Terriers may be hard to find, they’re still popular among breeders and owners alike. Many people simply love the unique look of the Brindle coat and the fact that they’re not as common as the traditional black and white coat.

Overall, Brindle Boston Terriers are not rare. While they’re not as common as the traditional black and white Boston Terriers, they’re becoming increasingly popular among breeders and owners alike. If you’re looking for a unique and loyal companion, a Brindle Boston Terrier might be the perfect addition to your family.

Brindle is actually the preferred color per the breed standard and Black and White was the last excepted color allow in the 1920’s.
